Accounting Manager

BlueStone Services, LLC. is recruiting an Accounting Manager who is knowledgeable in the accounting industry and is ready to build and grow their knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with our main office located in Timonium, Maryland.


Education and Experience:

  • Accounting Degree or equivalent experience
  • Public accounting auditing experience
  • CPA License strongly recommended, but not required

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Performs month-end and year end closing operations
  • Become proficient in small and mid-sized business accounting automation tools such as QuickBooks Online,, and Gusto Expensify and similar systems
  • Make payments to vendors through and other payment software
  • Reconcile fixed assets and debt schedules to financial statements
  • Set up and run payroll
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by communicating efficiently and resolving client questions and concerns.
  • Train and develop team members
  • Implementation of new clients to include setting up processes and performing books catch-up and/or clean-up

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills, with impeccable attention to detail, excellent proactive communication, planning, follow up, prioritization, time management, and managing expectations
  • Knowledge of the accounting cycle and ability to adapt to client systems
  • Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent proficiency with advanced skills in Excel and MS Office applications
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently with minimal oversight
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the accounting field, such as: categorizing transactions, reconciling bank accounts, reconciling fixed assets, maintaining debt schedules, preparing and analyzing financial statements and making accrual adjusting entries
